ÜBER MICH

I'm a child of the 60's and i was listening to music since i was about 10. At that time i was sitting with my uncle in our recording studio (wich was the bedroom of my grandparents) in front of an old tube radio and recording songs with a microphone on a tape recorder. From that time on i was addicted to music. At that point i was just fascinated listening to music. The first concert i ever saw was SANTANA in 1976. I bought a ticket for 22,- DM (about 10 Euro) and i had a seat in the forth row. From that moment on I was fascinated by watching music too, wich then meant going to concerts. Within a few years I'd already experienced some highlights, such as GENESIS, FREDDIE MERCURY, FRANK ZAPPA and STATUS QUO (after that concert i couldn't hear anything other than

a whistle in my ear for three days). In the following years i tried to save money, to see as many concerts as possible. In the seventies and eighties i saw a lot of bands. Some where funny, like SPIDER MURPHY GANG, SPANDAU BALLET, or SISTERS OF MERCY (they had so much fog on the stage, it could have been any band, cause there was nobody to see). Some others were really special like DEPECHE MODE (1983) , THE MISSION, CULTURED PEARLS or DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER (1992). And still one of my favourites DAVID BOWIE (1983).

It was in the eighties, when i bought my first camera. Soon i discoverd how cool it was to take my own pictures at concerts. (in those days everybody was allowed to bring one to a concert. The only problem was getting to the front of the stage for a good view. My only chance was to arrive very early, cause i was not sooo tall. Nowadays it's more relaxed. I'm officially allowed to take photos so i can go right to the front of the stage to try to get some great shots. The results are what you'll find in my galleries. Have fun and enjoy my website.
